Although it does not have the visual aspect, podcasts in the classroom are becoming very popular and can be used in the same realm as digital storytelling. If you search online for podcasts you will find tons. The apple company site has good links to making podcasts, but here is a good link to start, http://www.education-world.com/a_tech/sites/sites074.shtml. Also if anyone need a microphone during class, let me know.

Steve, you are absolutely right. Podcasts are a form of digital storytelling. That is why it is important not to focus on a particular software. There are many many methods of telling a story using digital medium.
